Match #5 - Hardcore Championship - Kurt Angle vs. Rob Van Dam (champ) RVD takes control early, and takes the fight outside. He hits a few quick moves, and brings it back inside. Angle hits a snap suplex, and follows up with a headlock takeover attempt. Van Dam reverses with a jumping rolling rollup....1,2....kickout. RVD continues to dominate, and tries for the Van-Daminator, but Angle catches his ankle - Ankle Lock!! RVD quickly scurries to the ropes, and Angle whips RVD to the turnbuckle. Rob slings himself over Angle, and then grabs Kurt and whips him to the ropes. He then runs and hits Angle with a headscissor takedown. RVD gets on Angle and punches him. He then picks up Angle and hits the Van Daminator! He pins him....1.....2....kickout?!? RVD hits a quick facebuster on Angel and tries for another pin....1....2....kickout! Angle hits a back suplex. Angle tries for a belly to belly suplex, but RVD reverses with a Northern Lights Suplex bridge, 1.2...kickout again! Angle hits a lowblow on RVD, which is perfectly legal. Angle hits a few back to back suplexes. Angle takes control. He hits a swinging neckbreaker on Rob, followed by the Angle Slam!! He pins Van Dam, 1,2,3!! BUT! Rob Van Dam had his foot on the rope...the match continues. RVD hits the Van-Daminator again, followed by a springboard spinning heel kick attempt, but Angle ducked! Angle hit a double underhook belly to belly suplex, and throws RVD outside. Angle whips RVD to the steel steps, and continues to control RVD. Angle throws RVD back into the ring and hits the Angle Slam! 1,2,3!! WINNER IN 9:16: Kurt Angle |
